Norup Elementary Students Present Market Day to their Peers

Norup 4th grade students held their annual Holiday Market on Wednesday, December 17. Market Day marked the end of their Social Studies lesson on economics. Students were tasked with coming up with their own business and creating a product to sell to schoolmates and family members during Market Day.
The students learned a variety of lessons during this project including how to price an item, understanding the prices of the competition as well as supply and demand. Some of the products the students created included bead jewelry, ornaments, squishies, magnets, picture frames and more. Some of the proceeds from Market Day will go towards the 4th grade field trip fund and to a charity that the classes will choose.
